
Since we believe in the crucial role of intangible culture in sustainable local development and in making cultural peace, the ICCN is committed to action-oriented policies concerning the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and aims;
To formulate and implement balanced developmental and cultural policies, in which sustainable development and the safeguarding of intangible heritage rank as priorities among local governments,
To incorporate and implement the UNESCO Convention 2003 for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage,
To promote the relationship between local communities and local governments in regards to the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage, and to improve awareness as to why such relationships are fundamentally necessary world-wide,
To meet challenges of globalization as they affect cultural diversity, and to preserve the cultural diversity of communities consisting of unique, invaluable and local traditional cultures.
